2^ndPhase of Fly-V Seminar Series for Future Leaders of Young Veterinarians

        继成功举办第1期<新翼系列®主管兽医实用技能国际培训班>之后，2016年11月7-9日，由牧原食品、正大集团、武汉天种等大型养猪集团公司联合举办的兽医培训班第2期顺利开班。本次培训班在郑州市黄河迎宾馆举行，通过引进国际顶尖专家，对各大养猪集团公司的大区兽医主管及青年兽医培训，系统学习国际先进的猪群疾病专业病理诊断技术、猪群主要疾病解决方案、兽医总监工作方法、生产问题处理等猪群健康管理的实用知识，并以此高端培训班为平台促进了大公司兽医管理主管间的交流。

Following the success of the 1st Session of FLY-V Seminar Series for Future Leaders of Young Veterinarians, the largest pig production corporations including Muyuan Food Co Ltd, Chia Tai Group and Wuhan Tianzhong Livestock Co Ltd jointly held the 2nd Session of FLY-V Seminar Series from Nov 7th to 9th of 2016 in Henan Yingbin Hotel. In this session, FLY-V invited international leading experts to provide systematic trainings for the young veterinarians from the largest pig production corporations, with specialized focus on Differential Diagnosis of Swine Diseases, Major Swine Disease Solutions, Working Methods for Chief Veterinarians, and Practical Knowledge of Swine Health Management. Based on this platform, the organizer strived to improve communication among the chief veterinarians from the largest pig production corporations. 

 11月7日上午，河南省畜牧局主管局长朱立良，河南省养猪协会理事长、牧原食品董事长秦英林，河南省养猪协会副理事长、河南新大牧业董事长李长青，河南省畜牧兽医学会养猪学分会理事长、河南农业大学教授任广志、正大集团农牧大区总裁徐春玉先生，以及来自全国8个省市的12家大型养猪集团公司的近80位大区兽医主管出席了此次培训班的开幕式。

In the morning of Nov 7th, Mr. Zhu Liliang, Director of Henan Animal Husbandry Bureau, Mr. Qin Yinglin, President of Henan Pig Producers Association and Board Chairman of Muyuan Food Co Ltd, Mr. Li Changqing, Vice President of Henan Pig Producers Association and Board Chairman of Xinda Livestock Co Ltd, Professor Ren Guangzhi, President of Henan Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Council, Mr. Xu Chunyu, Chia Tai Group's Regional Senior President, and other 80 regional chief veterinarians from the 12 largest pig production corporations from 8 provinces attended the opening ceremony of the seminar series.

        开幕式由闫之春博士主持。闫博士说：新翼系列培训班筹备2年多，完全是由国内12家大型养猪企业内部酝酿、商议后启动的，在集约养猪企业急剧扩张期间，这些大企业中刚刚走进主管层的青年兽医都觉得需要进一步提升自己的技能，都觉得更应学习真正国际化、面向现代化养猪的关键技术。在2年多的时间里，有关企业的主要负责人多次协商，于今年7月4日成功举办了第1期<新翼系列®主管兽医实用技能国际培训班>。 这个国际化的培训班特别设计用于青年兽医的培训，培训的选题和专家不局限于一个国家，但全部面向未来，面向现代化的实用养猪技术。上一期培训班的主要专家来自美国，这次来自加拿大，下一期培训班主要的专家可能来自于欧洲。这些专家的选题都是直接面向将来我们有可能要遇到的主要的生产和技术问题。

Dr. Jason Yan hosted the opening ceremony. Dr. Yan said: the preparation work of FLY-V Seminar Series started more than 2 years ago. After rounds of brainstorming and discussion, the seminar series were initiated internally by the 12 largest Chinese pig production corporations when they began their rapid expansion. They realized that their young veterinarians who were fresh graduates needed to further improve their professional skills by learning the key pig-farming techniques that are advancing with the time. In the past 2 years, top management from the largest pig production corporations discussed regarding this issue many times. Eventually the 1^st Session of Seminar Series for Future Leaders of Young Veterinarians was successfully held on July 4^th 2016. These internationalized seminar series are specially designed to train young veterinarians. And the topics are not limited to a certain country or field, but all faced to the modern and future practical pig-farming technology. The guest speakers of the 1^stand 2^nd session came mainly from the USA and Canada. For the next session, we might invite guest speakers mainly from Europe. The topics covered by these experts are all focused on production and technical issues that we might be encountered with in the future.

查本尼奥(Dr. George Charbonneau)博士，执业兽医，美洲养猪兽医联合会（AASV）现任主席、加拿大安大略西南兽医服务公司董事长；《AASV》每年的技术年会及其《养猪生产和健康学报》，是国际猪病和养猪界最重要的两个技术来源，养猪界的许多新技术都来自于《AASV》的工作。

Dr. George Charbonneau is a renowned veterinarian, Chairman of AAVS (American Associationof Swine Veterinarians) and Board Chairman of Southwest Ontario Veterinary Service Co Ltd. AASV’s annual meetings and its publication, Journal of Swine Health & Production, are the two most important sources for international swine disease studies and the pig-farming industry.

黄彦云(Dr. Yanyun HUANG)博士十多年来一直在加拿大萨斯克切温大学工作，研究员，病理医生，同时是草原诊断服务公司(Prairie Diagnostic Services Inc.)专业兽医病理诊断师。    

Dr. Huang Yanyun has been working in University of Saskatchewan for over a decade. He is a researcher, a veterinary pathologist, and a professional diagnostician with Prairie Diagnostic Service Inc.

 朱汉守(Dr. Han Soo Joo)教授是明尼苏达大学教授，著名病毒学家，也是多版《猪病学》中的病毒学部分的主编。

Professor Han Soo Joo, from University of Minnesota, is a renowned virus expert. He has been the chief editor of the chapter of “Virology” in several editions of the book, Diseases of Swine.

开幕式上，朱立良局长、秦英林理事长、任广志教授、徐春玉总裁和李长青董事长分别做了热情洋溢的致辞，对举办这样高端的青年兽医国际培训班，表示支持和认可，期待新翼威兽医培训班会越办越好，为未来大型养猪企业储备更多人才。

In the opening ceremony, Director Zhu Liliang,Chairman Qin Yinglin, Professor Ren Guangzhi, Senior President Xu Chunyu and Chairman Li Changqing addressed the conference and expressed their support and recognition of the FLY-V seminar series. They looked forward to seeing the seminar series to become more and more fruitful, so that the talented attending young veterinarians would well prepare themselves in the pace of industry modernization.

在随后三天的培训课程里，主讲专家先后通过来源于北美猪场的诊断案例、生产数据等，培训了北美新出现的猪病、不同生产模式下蓝耳病控制和净化、兽医总监的工作方法、生产管理的质量控制、猪群细菌性疾病管理、猪的病理解剖，猪常见肺脏病理、猪常见胃肠道病理、猪病诊断的取材、解剖病理在猪病诊断中的应用及相关诊断病理案例分析等共18节课程。

In the 3-day training program, the guest speakers covered 18 topics including New Swine Diseases in North America, Control and Eradication of PRRS, Quality Control of Production Management, Management of Bacterial Diseases, Swine Pathological Anatomy, Lung Pathology of Swine,Gastrointestinal Pathology of Swine, Tissue Sampling for Swine Disease Diagnosis, Application of Anatomical Pathology in Swine Disease Diagnosis, Case Studies of Porcine Diarrhea, High-Mortality Pigs Diarrhea and Pseudorabies, and Case Analysis of Diagnostic Pathology.

三天培训时间非常紧张，每堂课大家都认真听讲，课堂提问环节及课后，大家积极利用宝贵机会，踊跃向讲课老师提问请教。

The 3-day training schedule was very tight. The attendees paid their full attention to the materials that the guest speakers shared, and raised numerous questions during and after the Q&A sessions to further clarify their doubts.

本次培训由郑州新航道农业科技公司协助组织，新航道为本次兽医培训做了不少前期准备和后期服务工作。

This training program was co-organized by Zhengzhou Xinhangdao Agriculture Technology Co Ltd. Xinhangdao made tremendous preparatory and follow-up efforts during the whole seminar series.
